Anna M. Uva Galvano
is the founder and managing director of Captivating Tours and Pilgrimages in New York City.
Originally from Italy, Anna studied at Sapienza University in Rome, in Germany at the University of Regensburg, and at Fordham University in NY.
When Anna came to the US to study English in 1991, she met her husband, and stayed in New York, and has been a restauranteur and entrepreneur in the hospitality industry in New York City, owning and operating a hotel and restaurants.
Amid the effort and long workdays required to succeed in the management of multiple establishments, taking care of her husband and sons, Anna had an encounter with the Lord leading to a profound conversion in her life.
Today, as the founder and owner of Captivating Tours, Anna works to create transformational journeys near and far to expand hearts and renew minds, with the goal of helping pilgrims become more receptive to the Graces of God.
Her work is inspired by this quote from Pope St. John Paul the Great:
"Pilgrimages are transformational journeys during which significant change takes place, new insights are given, and deeper understanding is attained. New and old places in the heart are visited while blessings are received, and healing takes place. On return from the pilgrimage, life is seen with different eyes. Nothing will be quite the same" JPII
Anna's heart has been captivated and transformed by the love of Christ.
"Once Christ takes over ones heart, the heart becomes selflessness, therefore it is no longer about oneself but Christ's Love being pour out "
